About the Integrated Foodborne Outbreak Response and Management (InFORM) Conference 

The InFORM Conference brings together the network of public health officials involved with foodborne and enteric disease outbreak response. This includes federal, state and local public health and environmental health specialists, epidemiologists, health communicators, and laboratory scientists. Held every two years, the conference will consist of a keynote speaker, plenary and discipline-specific sessions, and poster presentations. 

2022 InFORM  

April 26-29, 2022 

Virtual Conference 

Invited participants include public health colleagues from local, state, tribal, or federal agencies and departments involved in enteric disease surveillance and outbreak response. This includes but is not limited to: 

  • Environmental health specialists involved in enteric disease outbreak investigations 

  • Epidemiologists who investigate local or multistate enteric disease outbreaks  

  • Health communicators involved in enteric disease outbreaks, prevention, and food safety education 

  • Laboratory scientists who are a part of the PulseNet Network or who are interested in learning more about PulseNet 


Scholarship submission is now open, all are encouraged to apply as there are many scholarship opportunties. Scholarship applications must be submitted no later than March 14, 2022 to be considered.  

If you plan to apply for a registration scholarship, please do not yet register. Apply for the scholarship first. All applicants will be notified of scholarship status by March 25th.

ELC funds, if available, should be used to register epidemiologists and PulseNet laboratory scientists for InFORM.

Online pre-registration is required.  
Registration fees are as follows: 

  • Early Bird Individual (ends April 1, 2022) - $200 
  • Early Bird Group Rate (5 registrations for the cost of 4)(ends April 1, 2022) - $800 

After April 1, 2022 registration will increase to $225 per person

As presentations are selected, detailed programs will be provided for the environmental health, epidemiology, health communication, and laboratory tracks. 

Oral Session and Poster Submissions 

The abstract submission form is NOW OPEN.  Click here for instructions and a Word Document version of the submission form. 

Notifications regarding abstract acceptance and scheduling will be sent to the presenting author in early March 2022. 

Continuing Education Credits 

Continuing Education for this activity will be provided and is currently pending approval. More details to be announced soon.

  • Bill Keene Award for Excellence in Epidemiology 
  • John J. Guzewich Environmental Public Health Team Award
